Online Banking Information

HomeAccess Online Banking
and Bill Payment Service

With HomeAccess on your PC, it's almost like being at the Bank

With HomeAccess Online Banking, you transform your personal computer into a branch office of our bank. If you are comfortable using your Internet browser, you will be comfortable with this personal banking product. It is a dynamic tool for management of your bank accounts. Best of all, it's totally FREE!

You can view a list of your accounts at the Bank. From the account list, you can view account detailed information or perform transaction activities. You can review transaction history and transfer funds between accounts, and with a Pacific Trust Bank checking account you can pay bills online. You can also export transaction history to a Personal Financial Management application (such as Microsoft Money or Intuit's Quicken).

You can either sign-up Online (click here, then press the "Enroll Now" button for this service), or call us at (877) 441-BANK during working hours to request HomeAccess Online Banking and Bill Payment service.

Now, you can view digital images of your canceled checks online with our HomeAccess system. You do this by logging on to the HomeAccess system; click to open your Checking Account; then click on Transactions for the current statement period. Each of your cleared check numbers will be displayed as a link. Click on the check number and a new browser window will pop-up in which a digital image of the front of that check should appear. From there, you can click on the link to view the back of that check.

While all canceled check numbers will be displayed as links, the images of newest ones (such as those that cleared last night) may not yet be resident in the Check Image Archives - which is updated daily. If the image isn't there yet, you will get an error message that the check image is not available.

Online Banking Security

Security is extremely important when it comes to your financial matters. Complete privacy, controlled through 128-bit encryption and a password, ensures only authorized access to your accounts.

A personal computer with Internet access, an e-mail address, and a Pacific Trust Bank account is required to get started. For your Internet browser, our Internet Banking web site requires a minimum browser of Internet Explorer 5.5 with SP2 (Service Pack 2) or greater from Microsoft Corporation or Netscape's Navigator 6.0 (or greater). The HomeAccess preferred browser is Internet Explorer. If your Internet browser is an older version, upgrading your browser is required regardless of who your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is. Keeping current with the latest version of your Internet browser will help ensure secure transactions and prevent the error message "Your certificate has expired" from occurring.

Note: Users of certain older versions of Netscape or other browsers and operating systems may experience some difficulties in HomeAccess.

Your Personal Log-In Identity

With our HomeAccess system, each of our customers will have their own personal Access ID - or log on name - so that they can view all accounts on which they are the owner, joint owner, borrower or co-borrower, and only those accounts.

When you log-on to HomeAccess for the first time, your Access ID will be your social security number. For additional security you will also have the opportunity to change your Access ID - your log-on name - to one of your choosing, such as "Padres Fan" or whatever you wish.

Password Security

After you sign-up for HomeAccess Online Banking, you will be issued a temporary password. The first time you log-on to HomeAccess with this temporary password, you will be prompted to change it to any password of your choosing (6-12 alpha-numeric characters, at least one of which must be a letter and a number). This way, only you will know your password.

For your account security, please don't share your password with anyone.

If you forget your password, and attempt to log-on incorrectly too many times, your account will be "locked-out" from HomeAccess. You will have to call our Telephone Banking Center at (877) 441-BANK during working hours to request to have HomeAccess for your account reset. A signed request may be required if the customer's ID cannot be verified over the phone.

HomeAccess Is Easy to Use

After you log on, all of your accounts that are accessible through HomeAccess will be displayed. To inquire about or perform a transaction on an account, just click the link for that account. Our HomeAccess Online Banking screens have easy to understand buttons and links to perform your account inquiries and transactions. And, there's a "Help Button" that further explains how each function works (HomeAccess is also referred to as "VIP eCom" in the Help screens).

Recent Enhancements to HomeAccess Online Banking:

Give Each of Your Accounts a Nickname

Now you can personalize the account names displayed during your HomeAccess Online Banking session and that also appear on your monthly statements.

If having more than one checking or savings account and remembering account numbers is confusing, nicknames may help you more easily keep track of your accounts. And, you can change the names as often as you like.

Every account you have with us - checking, savings and loans - can now be assigned a "nickname".

Try something easier to recognize like ‘My IRA’ or ‘Bob & Jane’s account’. You pick the name that makes sense for you. Make it simple to distinguish between accounts such as “household checking” and “home office checking.”

To create or change an account nickname:
  • Log in to HomeAccess.
  • On the Accounts page, click the Options menu and select Change Nicknames.
  • On the Change Account Nicknames page, select the checkbox for the account to be renamed.
  • Enter the account nickname in the text box. Account nicknames can be up to 22 characters long. Avoid using punctuation marks or other special characters.
  • Click the Submit button and the new nickname displays.
  • Your account nickname will appear on your account statements, and display each time you log in to HomeAccess, but only on the Account List page.

Now, at just a glance, you can recognize your accounts and their purpose in your financial plan. Note: Your account nickname will also appear on your account monthly statements.
