About PacTrust Bank
PacTrust Bank, a federally chartered stock savings bank, has been in continuous operation as a successful financial institution serving our community for nearly 70 years (since 1941).
The Bank currently operates twelve office locations in the greater metropolitan areas of San Diego, Riverside and Los Angeles counties, California - including our newest branches in Tustin and Santa Monica.
On August 22, 2002, the Bank converted from a mutual to a stock charter and completed an Initial Public Offering, whereby the Bank became a wholly owned subsidiary of First PacTrust Bancorp, Inc.
First PacTrust Bancorp is a unitary thrift holding company for PacTrust Bank (the Bank). The stock of the Bancorp is traded on the Nasdaq Global Market under the trading symbol "BANC".
OUR HISTORY

1941 - Financial institution is initially founded as Rohr Employees Federal Credit Union to serve the employees of Rohr Aircraft in Chula Vista, California (Rohr, Inc., later becoming Goodrich Aerostructures Group).

1976 - Opens new office building (later to become the Bank's Administrative Center) at 610 Bay Blvd. Chula Vista.

1979 Opens first office in Riverside, CA.

1984 - Customer base begins to expand beyond Rohr, Inc.

1986 - Eliminated “Employees” from its name to become Rohr Federal Credit Union.

1987 - Opens new office in Temecula, California.

1993 - Opens new Downtown-Chula Vista main office.

1994 - Opens new El Cajon and Riverside offices.

1995 - Rohr FCU changes its name, and becomes Pacific Trust Federal Credit Union.

2000 - The financial institution's Charter is changed to a mutually owned federal savings bank - Pacific Trust Bank.

2002 - Opens new "Balboa" office in Clairemont Mesa area of San Diego, and relocates to new office in Temecula.

2002 - Effective with its initial public offering on August 22nd, converts from mutual to stock form of ownership, and becomes a subsidiary of First PacTrust Bancorp, Inc.

2003 - Opens new office in the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego.

2004 - Introduced CoinMax self-service coin counting machines.

2011 - Opened new office in La Jolla Village,San Marcos and Century, CA.

2012 - Relocated our Corporate Offices to Irvine, CA. Opened new locations in Santa Monica and Tustin.
